TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Rental Period:
The rental period is for the dates listed on the front of this agreement, unless terminated earlier as provided in this Agreement.
2. Rental Rate:
The rental fee is listed in NZD$ per day, for the duration of the rental period. A day is a calendar day, not a 24-hour day. Vehicles are available from 9am on the day you commence your hire, and must be returned by 4pm on the day of return unless prior arrangements are made.
3. Deposit:
A deposit amounting to 25% of the total hire is required at the time of booking to reserve your dates. It must be paid within 3 days or 72 hours of making your booking. If your booking is less than 31 days away, full payment is required instead.
4. Total:
The total amount of your booking must be settled 31 days before the commencement of your hire. Not following through will result in your booking being cancelled and deposit taken.
5. Cancellations/Refunds:

Cancellations up to 31 days prior to the rental period, you are entitled to a full refund less exchange rates fee in returning payment.

Cancellations between 30 days and 14 days prior to the rental period, you are entitled to a 50% refund less exchange rates fee in returning payment. See Clause 16.

Cancellations 13 days or less prior to the rental period, you will receive no refund. See Clause 16.
6. Bond: A bond of $250 is required from the hirer. This will be returned with the condition that there is no damage or any amount owing after the vehicle post hire inspection has been completed. This will be within 21 days from the return date.
7. Excess:
The hirer is subject to excess of $3000 in the event of damage or loss at the cost of $16 per hire day. This is able to be reduced to $500 by selecting the $36 per hire day option.
8. Payment:
Full payment for the rental period is required 31 days prior to the start date. Any additional charges for late returns, cleaning, or damages will be taken from the bond or otherwise charged to the hirer’s credit card or to is required to be paid by the hirer.
9. Use of the Campervan:
The Hirer agrees to:

Only use the campervan for personal use.

Not allow anyone who is not named in this Agreement to drive the campervan without prior written consent from the Owner.

Hold a current full New Zealand licence, or country of origin full licence (or an international license if it is not in English).

Abide by all New Zealand road laws and regulations. Penalties and fines incurred within the duration of the hire is the responsibility of the hirer.

The hirer will pay for any infringements that occur within the duration of hire.

Not drive the campervan off-road or on non-public roads unless explicitly allowed.

Take all necessary precautions to protect the vehicle from theft, loss, or damage.

Return the campervan in a clean condition (as received) and with a full tank of fuel and gas (receipt must be provided as proof of LPG refill).

The following roads are regarded as unsuitable and are not to be used by our campervans: Skippers Road (Queenstown), Ninety Mile Beach (Northland), Ball Hut Road (Mt Cook), North of Colville Township (Coromandel)

Prolonged gravel driving is not permitted.

The hirer is not to drive under the influence of alcohol and may be liable to pay for any damage and costs that would occur from the failure to abide by New Zealand law.

Each named drivers driving licence and passport is to be photographed upon the pick-up of the vehicle.
10. Breakdown and Maintenance:
In case of a mechanical breakdown, the Hirer must immediately contact the Owner. The Owner will cover the costs of any breakdown due to mechanical failure, provided the Hirer has used the campervan according to this Agreement. However, if the breakdown is caused by misuse or negligence by the Hirer, the Hirer will be responsible for the costs.
11. Late Returns and Additional Charges:
If the campervan is returned later than the agreed time, the Hirer may be subject to a late fee of double the vehicle hire rate per day. Other additional charges will be taken from the deposit or charged to the hirer’s credit card or be required to be paid.
One-way hires are subject to relocation costs. See the Schedule of additional charges that may also be incurred if van is not returned clean following the hire.
12. Damages and Repairs:
The Hirer agrees to report any damage to the campervan immediately to the Owner. If the campervan or contents are returned damaged, the Hirer agrees to pay the cost of repairs, including labour and parts, or the Owner's insurance excess fee. The Hirer is also responsible for any damage caused by negligence or improper use of the vehicle or contents.
13. Termination of Rental Agreement:
The Owner reserves the right to terminate the Agreement if the Hirer is found to be in violation of any terms outlined in this document, or if the vehicle is used in an unsafe or illegal manner. In such cases, the Owner may repossess the campervan without refund.
14. Governing Law:
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from this Agreement will be resolved in the courts of New Zealand.
15. GPS: Our vehicles have GPS installed for insurance purposes.
16. Comprehensive travel insurance is recommended: Check your travel insurance policy in regard to rental vehicle excess cover and cancellation cover.
15. Miscellaneous:
The Hirer agrees to comply with the terms and conditions set forth in this Agreement and any additional instructions or policies provided by the Owner. Any amendments to this Agreement must be in writing and signed by both parties. If any provision of this Agreement is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
SCHEDULE OF ADDITIONAL CHARGES
Fuel not returned full - $50 service fee + fuel actual cost
LPG not returned full - $50 service fee + LPG cost
Greywater not emptied - $50 service fee
Toilet cassette not emptied and cleaned - $250 service fee
Stain removal - $120 (standard fee. Permanent stains, burns and damage may require replacement and involve insurance excess)
Cleaning fee= $100
